Hey, I’m Diego.

I work in business development
and partnerships.

I started in DeFi communities, grew into integrations and operations, and now work in B2B sales at MOIC. I’m also building Lugue, a product born from a problem in my own work.

I ran the BD execution for Hypernative through MOIC, from prospect research and outreach to qualification and meeting booking.

There were around 10,000 leads. I wanted to know which companies needed us today. So I started building a way to find out.

I joined to build the community. A year later, I moved into BD. As I took on more of the operation, I became COO.

A little more about me

Beyond the job titles.

I tend to get deep into the things that catch my attention. At Paçoca, that meant learning the product well enough to support its users, negotiate integrations and eventually oversee the operation.

At MOIC, I lead partnerships and have recently started closing alongside the CEO. I’m experienced in creating opportunities and still developing as a closer.

Outside work, I collect Pokémon cards. I’m into cars, watches and the mechanisms behind them.

A few favourites

Porsche. The Clio V6. TAG Heuer, Tudor and Rolex. And Pokémon TCG—mostly the collecting side.

Hypernative / MOIC

Business development / 2026

Making the first conversation happen.

I was the BD analyst responsible for executing MOIC’s Hypernative engagement.

What I did

I researched and contacted 800 leads, built and ran outbound cadences, qualified interest and booked meetings. Around 3,000 messages went into the campaign.

I also built a new funnel structure, automated reporting and improved the workflow used to execute the engagement.

What came out of it

The campaign generated 53 meetings and US$600K in pipeline. Pipeline represents potential business; the closing process was handled separately.

Independent product / In development

Finding the gold in the CRM.

That was the question I kept coming back to at work.

The CRM had thousands of leads. I wanted to know which companies needed MOIC today, so I could decide who to contact and why.

From a question to a product

Lugue is a sales-intelligence prototype that combines imported lead data with public research. The idea is to help prioritize prospects and prepare outreach for a person to review.

It’s my idea, built from scratch with Claude. I handle product discovery, UX, AI-assisted development and quality evaluation.

Still in development.
Independent, part-time and pre-launch.

Community, partnerships & operations / 2021–2024

First employee. A lot of firsts.

Community came first. The rest grew from there.

Learning the product through its people

For a long time, I was the only moderator. I helped users with DeFi, answered quickly and ran AMAs and community events. Later, I trained community managers on communication, response quality and how to support people.

Moving into business development

After a year, I started negotiating integration and co-marketing terms. I defined requirements, prioritized the backlog, coordinated implementation with our developers and helped run the marketing activity.

That work covered 150+ dApps across seven blockchains. I also maintained the technical documentation through more than 200 GitBook pull requests.

Taking responsibility for the operation

As I was already overseeing much of the operation, I became COO. I managed seven BD and community reports and coordinated delivery with three developers, who reported to the CEO.

With the CEO and CMO, I shared responsibility for a US$1M multisig treasury: approving payments, deciding allocations, executing transfers and tracking resources and investments.
